Workshop February 23, 2017, 18h - 20h

65.00

Join me for an evening of DIY stitching and snacks where I will share some of my favorite materials,  techniques, and inspirations during a 2 hour long Contemporary Embroidery Workshop!

WHEN:

Thursday, February 23, 2017

18h - 20h

WHERE:

Private Residence

Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland

(Exact address will be emailed upon ticket purchase.)

WHAT:

All materials will be provided for this workshop including a selection of plant-inspired designs, hoop + fabric, needle, thread snips, and DMC embroidery floss to share.  Light refreshments will be available as well!

No previous stitching knowledge is necessary and all experience levels are welcome (all you need is a little patience and an open mind).  I will demonstrate my particular embroidery techniques ranging from transferring a design to preparing to hang your hoop and all the stitching methods in between, while encouraging participants to experiment with the materials and embrace the making process.

Get ready to throw out any preconceived notions of needlepoint and celebrate contemporary creativity!

*Please note that this event is taking place at a private residence.  Participants will be expected to respect the space and neighbors by entering and leaving quietly.  There are stairs up to the workshop space and neither Sarah K. Benning nor the property owners will be liable for accidents or injury.
