Sarah’s #SKBDIY Pattern Program originally began in 2016 as a way to share her techniques and imagery, foster creativity and community, and cultivate a wider love for contemporary embroidery. Her monthly patterns are a wonderful opportunity to slow down, carve out some creative time for yourself, and to stitch something beautiful.

These patterns are a great way to learn contemporary embroidery techniques while working through unique imagery inspired by Sarah’s one of a kind artworks. Whether you are just beginning on your embroidery journey or looking to expand the skills you already have, Sarah’s designs and thorough instructions have a little something for everyone! Each digital pattern will include the design itself, a color guide, a stitch glossary, detailed images of Sarah’s stitching, and step by step instruction from pattern transfer to hanging your finished piece on the wall. Please note, digital patterns include the design and instructions. You will need to purchase materials separately as they are not included in the Pattern Program Files.

Through January 2024, Sarah will release a new pattern every month—12 #SKBDIY patterns in all, each available for a limited time only. This years designs will explore the theme ‘GROWING TOWARDS THE LIGHT.’
